According to Le Figaro, the figure is overwhelming, in France only a quarter of plastic packaging is recycled. But then, what are the actions to take in order to promote recycling? The choice of packaging, the choice of materials, consumer education in recycling. So many good practices to set up in order to preserve the environment of our beautiful planet, because, even if we cannot always make the World better, let’s contribute at least to make it less worst by recycling plastic packaging.

Promote the recycling of plastic packaging

Identify recyclable plastics

Recycling allows to avoid the waste of natural resources and energy, to secure the industry’s supply of raw materials, and to reduce its environmental impacts. So first choose materials that are recyclable.

PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate)

PET plastic is 100% recyclable and in principle does not lose its basic characteristics and can therefore be reused several times. PET is often used for the production of drinks bottles. However, its recycling requires extreme purity of the collected material.

HDPE (High Density Polyethylene)

HDPE plastic is opaque, impact resistant, watertight, and tight to certain chemicals, gas and aroma. It is mainly used in the food, medical and chemical sectors.

PVC is recyclable but at a very low rate it will be better to avoid it for your packaging.

Encourage good recycling

Encourage your patients and clients to check that their plastic products are recyclable by affixing the Triman pictogram.

Specify on your packaging that plastic waste goes into the yellow bin of recyclable packaging.

And finally think about our planet while choosing your packaging because the recycling of plastic packaging saves oil, raw materials, energy and water.

One third of our plastic waste ends up in garbage dump so we have to minimize our environmental impact by thinking CSR.
